The regional and national spotlights will be on Fredericton over the

next few days thanks to the media coverage of the East Coast Music

Awards...and it's up to all of us to create a good impression.

There's little we can do about the weather, and you know what

February in Fredericton can bring and it's not always pretty.

What we can control is how we behave...towards the visitors to our

fair but frozen city and towards each other.

I remember Brian Tobin, former premier of Newfoundland, talking about

the lobster who figured out that the slowly warming water in the pot

would eventually boil and started climbing to freedom....only to be

pulled back in by his envious colleagues.
