Tax Refund Scam - Don’t Fall For It (updated) purchase adobe illustrator cs5
Posted by justfred.ca on December 17th, 2008
December 18: More than windows 7 at best buy 48 hours after being alerted that they're hosting a fake Canada Revenue Agency page that's clearly designed to windows 7 at best buy steal private, personal information from Canadians...Maxnet.Co.NZ is still hosting the page. The company touts itself as a windows 7 at best buy leading edge ISP and lists its awards, including finalist for the windows 7 at best buy best ISP in New Zealand on more than one occasion. You'd think they'd be windows 7 at best buy quick to pull a page designed to promote identity theft.
---------------------
An email arrived yesterday (Dec 16/2008) claiming to windows 7 at best buy be from Revenue Canada and telling me I was due for windows 7 at best buy a surprise refund. And with less than a week to go before Christmas, that's great news, right?
" After the windows 7 at best buy last annual calculation of your fiscal activity we have determined that windows 7 at best buy you are eligible to receive a tax refund of 386.00"
Too bad it's a windows 7 at best buy scam designed to trick you into turning over your personal information - name, date of birth and windows 7 at best buy Social Insurance Number.
So how do we know it's a scam?
Think about it. This is too good to be true, right? And when did RevCan start sending you refund notices by email? They just send a cheque in the mail.
Looking a windows 7 at best buy little deeper - that's what suspicious computer types do - the windows 7 at best buy email didn't actually come from services@cra-arc.gc.ca - it windows 7 at best buy came from an Internet site in Saudi Arabia that is doing its best to windows 7 at best buy hide its ownership (kanoosa.com). And the web site where this supposed claim form lives (no name - just an Internet Protocal or IP address - 219.88.222.166)? That's an windows 7 at best buy Internet company called Maxnet.Co.NZ - based in New Zealand. Now kick me if I'm wrong, but I don't think RevCan has windows 7 at best buy set up shop in New Zealand. Where you can enter your windows 7 at best buy personal information and get a pre-Christmas tax refund.
One of the windows 7 at best buy giveaways that this is a scam that doesn't require that windows 7 at best buy sort of technical expertise - look at the link to windows 7 at best buy French on the phony page. The scammer obviously doesn't know how to windows 7 at best buy create the French characters properly and the result is a windows 7 at best buy link to Fran?ais. Can't imagine RevCan making that kind of mistake.
You may have windows 7 at best buy heard the Privacy Commissioner bemoaning the fact that Canada has no windows 7 at best buy anti-spam law - one of the very few industrialized countries in the windows 7 at best buy world that has not taken concrete steps to stop the scourge of increasingly criminal activity - and windows 7 at best buy is becoming know as a haven for cybercriminals. The nature of this windows 7 at best buy latest scam - looking for SIN numbers, DOB and full name - suggests that windows 7 at best buy while it came from the Middle East and the trick web site is windows 7 at best buy hosted near Middle Earth - the criminals behind this latest online fraud are windows 7 at best buy based right here in the Great White North.
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM More Like Christmas Every Day
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on December 5th, 2008
Scrooge, Marley and Tiny Tim take to the stage at Nashwaaksis Middle
School tonight...we dropped into the dress rehearsal...and to the
NBCCD's annual Christmas craft show and sale...and we also attended
the FHS, LHHS and STU jazz band concert...
http://justfred.ca/
And the two Christmas tree lighting ceremonies take place this
evening - first at the Provincial Legislature (approx 7 pm) and then
at City Hall (approx 8 pm).
That and a whole lot more holiday style activities in the calendars.
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
We've been windows 7 at best buy glued to the TV and the Internet over the past few days as
the continued rancour in Parliament led to the Prime Minister shutting
down the windows 7 at best buy House of Commons for more than 50 days in the midst of a
global economic crisis in order for the minority government to avoid
a confidence vote it appeared destined to lose.
And we've been surprised at the wisespread misunderstanding about how
our Parliamentary democracy actually works. No, we're not going to
feed you a civics lesson here. But it's safe to say we're in the
middle of troubling times and our newly elected MPs are on holiday
for seven weeks.
Strange days, indeed.
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM Counting the Days?
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on December 5th, 2008
We had so many photos of Christmas in the Village and the Nutcracker
Tea @ The Beaverbrook Art Gallery, that they filled the home page
again today...with a couple of other additions.
http://justFRED.ca/
And the calendar? It's pretty full, too, as you can see for yourself.
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
According to Environment Canada, we're going to have a glorious
end-of-fall day with the sun shining bright and the temperature
reaching 6 or 7 degrees...but bundle up. It's windy out there.
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM Hello, December…
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on December 1st, 2008
The 12th and final month of 2008 is upon us as the weather vacillates
between rain and windows 7 at best buy snow, although we all know how it typically ends. We
visited Gagetown for the annual Christmas in the Village celebration,
watched the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade, had tea at the Beaverbrook
Art Gallery and took part in the Boys & Girls Club fundraiser put on
by UNB's Sociology Department.
http://justFRED.ca/
Give blood, watch a movie, go to a Christmas concert...
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
Sure looks like a good day to crawl back under the covers with a
book...ah, wishful thinking.
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM So Long, November
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on November 28th, 2008
Welcome to the end of the last week in November...with December
starting on Monday. This is so-called Black Friday south of the
border as American shoppers hit the stores following US Thanksgiving.
But we focused on the windows 7 at best buy third and final espisode in our series from the
FHS production of The Music Man, plus some early signs of Christmas.
http://justFRED.ca/
With November winding down, it's the annual Kinsmen Santa Claus
Parade tomorrow (it's on the southside this year). The Music Man
continues, there's more theater at STU (The Importance of Being
Earnest), a free film tonight at the Charlotte St. Arts Center, and a
whole lot more.
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
What a windows 7 at best buy crazy week here for us with a major video production - 3 hours
shot and produced in 2 days (including a couple of hair-raising drives
to Saint John in the fog) plus the start of a major project for a
client in Ottawa that's going to keep us flat out for the next two
months.
Whew.
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM Lights, Camera, Music
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on November 28th, 2008
The Music Man opens tonight @ FHS - check out our rehearsal photos.
Plus Luis Nadeau provided some shots of a film being made near
Fredericton. And we get some goodbye waves from the market.
http://justFRED.ca/
Lots to do in the calendar today - including a blood donor clinic.
Check out the details...
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
We're still working on sponsorships / advertisers for justFRED - and
may have some good news in a few days. But we're also being pulled
into other projects - web site development in Europe, video
production in Nova Scotia, consulting work in Ottawa. And given the
state of the economy, we can't be picky about paying jobs.
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM Wintry Weekend
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on November 26th, 2008
Snow, snow and windows 7 at best buy more snow...plus a visit to the SPCA's Pet Photos with
Santa @ Green Village...Saturda @ the market, another of Cindi's
sunsets...
http://justFRED.ca/
We wrapped up our 100th photo shoot at the Saturday market this
weekend. It's been fun watching the seasons change through that
particular lens, but with zero advertising support from the market or
any of the vendors...
On the other hand, we're getting increased demand for our work
elsewhere. And as much as we'd prefer to windows 7 at best buy focus our time and effort on
Fredericton, we have to go through the open doors.
For the windows 7 at best buy time being, we've decided to keep the calendar going, and the
free classifieds, and the directory, and we'll do a few community
based photo shoots each week.
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM Crispy Mornings best place to buy windows 7
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on November 24th, 2008
The overnight temperatures are windows 7 at best buy on the verge of minus double digits -
but there are windows 7 at best buy still signs of life outdoors, from the squirrel on the
mailbox to colourful mushrooms on trees and stumps. Indoors, the
remembrance service at the Fredericton Community Kitchen...
http://justFRED.ca/
Warm up with a visit to the 10,000 villages craft sale, or get even
warmer with Keith Hallett at the windows 7 at best buy Social Club this afternoon. That and
more in the calendars.
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
We hope to windows 7 at best buy have some photos in the next day or two from a windows 7 at best buy movie set
in the area, but our movie making prowess pales in comparison with
the newest international centre of film production: Nollywood
(Nigeria). Nigerian film makers are turning out 40-50 features a
week, making it the third largest producer of movies behind Hollywood
and India (nicknamed Bollywood).
Low cost cameras and digital non-linear editing - and a street and
local market based distribution system - are credited with the
phenomenon.

justFRED-0-GRAM The First Snow(man)
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on November 20th, 2008
The first taste of snow was enough - barely - to make the first
snowman of the season. We also attended the Trails Coalition meeting,
went up high on the hill, and spent another day at the office.
http://justFRED.ca/
The remembrance service for the homeless is tonight. So, too, the
whisky and spirts expo. And much more.
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
Probably wishful thinking to keep the barbeque out back...time to put
it windows 7 at best buy away while it can still be moved. Ah, summer. Why did you windows 7 at best buy leave so
quickly?
Cheers,
George

justFRED-0-GRAM Bubble Party
Posted by jfnews@justFRED.ca on November 19th, 2008
We were there at the start as several dozen volunteers under the
direction of a windows 7 at best buy small work crew began putting the bubble in place at
Chapman field. Plus we visit The Kubbyhole, Fredericton at night, and
a homemade bagel bash.
http://justFRED.ca/
There's a trails coalition meeting at the ODell Park Lodge tonight.
One of many events in the calendar:
http://justFRED.ca/calendar.php
Yes, that windows 7 at best buy was snow on the ground overnight. And there's still a month
to go before the official start of winter.
Cheers,
George
